Installed Proxy DNS
The shortcomings of the caching DNS setup became apparent after Mathis tried to access other floop.org.uk hosts not listed in his domain. I installed DNRD instead, which is simpler to set up, but requires a script to restart it whenever BT decide to change DNS servers. I have tested the setup as far as I can, but really need to see how it copes when other local computers come online or the link / server is bounced.

* Packaged up latest version of DNRD. Needs tidying up but is ok for now. * Figured out how the ADSL link is brought up and where to put a script which runs each time: '/etc/ppp/ip-up.local' * Wrote a simple script to kill any existing DNRD process and start a new one, configured to resolve hosts in '/etc/hosts' and forward anything else to the nameservers given by BT when the link goes up.
